Description: Sir James Hope Grant (1808-1875) was a Scottish soldier and colonial administrator. He served in the 92nd Highlanders, the 78th Highlanders and the 93rd Highlanders. He fought in the First Anglo-Sikh War, the Second Anglo-Sikh War, the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and the Second Opium War. He was also the Commander-in-Chief, India from 1861 to 1865.
