Description: The Treaty of Angouleme was painted by Peter Paul Rubens in 1622-24. The painting depicts the signing of the Treaty of Angouleme in 1620 between King Louis XIII of France and King Philip IV of Spain. The treaty was brokered by Cardinal Richelieu and ended the Thirty Years’ War.
