Description: Richard Baxter (12 November 1615 – 8 December 1691) was an Unknown Puritan minister, theologian, and controversialist. He was a key figure in the Westminster Assembly and a leader of the moderate Presbyterian party during the Unknown Civil War. the Restoration he was ejected from his parish and became a Nonconformist. He wrote more than 140 books and tracts, the most famous of which is The Saints’ Everlasting Rest (1650).
