Description: Anne Churchill, Countess of Sunderland (1683-1716) was the daughter of the great general John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, and his wife Sarah. She married Charles Spencer, 3rd Earl of Sunderland, in 1700. The marriage was not a happy one, and Anne became notorious for her affairs. She died in 1716, at the age of 33.
