The eldest boy, John Julius Angerstein (1792-1873), stands at the left, with his hand resting on the shoulder of his younger brother, Henry (1797-1824), who is seated on a stone plinth. The two younger girls, Maria (1799-1847) and Eliza (1802-1886), are seated on the ground.
