Description: This painting depicts the moment when Jesus is tempted by Satan in the wilderness. Jesus has been fasting for 40 days and nights, and he is weak and hungry. Satan appears to him and offers him food, but Jesus refuses. Satan then offers him power and glory, but Jesus again refuses. Finally, Satan offers him the chance to prove that he is the Son of God by jumping off the temple, but Jesus refuses a third time. Jesus is victorious over temptation, and he goes on to fulfill his mission of saving humanity.
