Description: Lunia Czechowska (1889-1982) was a Polish artist and art collector. She was born in Warsaw and studied art in Paris at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere. In 1919, she married the sculptor Jacques Lipchitz. The couple moved to the United States in 1941 and settled in New York City. Czechowska continued to paint and exhibit her work throughout her life. She died in New York City in 1982.
