Description: The Parnassus is a fresco by the Italian Renaissance artist Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, painted between 1509 and 1511. The fresco is located in the Stanza della Segnatura, one of the four main rooms of the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican. The Parnassus depicts Apollo and the Muses on Mount Parnassus. Apollo is the Greek god of music and poetry, and the Muses are the nine goddesses who inspire the arts. The painting is a celebration of the power of the arts and the importance of creativity.
