Description: The painting is a fresco by the Italian Renaissance artist Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, executed between 1509 and 1511 as part of the decoration of the Stanza della Segnatura, one of the four principal rooms of the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican. The fresco represents Mount Parnassus, the home of the Muses, and features Apollo and the Muses, as well as other figures from classical mythology.
