Description: In 1939, at the outbreak of World War II, Miro left Paris for Varengeville-sur-Mer in Normandy. In September 1940, he returned to Spain, settling in Palma de Mallorca. There, he produced a series of works that combined painting and collage, using materials such as burlap, cardboard, and newspaper.
