Description: Ginevra Benci was the daughter of Amerigo Benci, a wealthy Florentine banker. She was born in 1458 and married Luigi di Bernardo Niccolini in 1474. Ginevra was known for her beauty and intelligence, and she was a popular subject for portraits. Leonardo da Vinci painted this portrait of Ginevra in 1474 or 1478. The painting is now in the collection of the Louvre Museum in Paris.
