Description: Laure Junot Abrantes (1784-1838) was a French memoirist and the wife of General Junot. She was born in Montpellier, France, and married Junot in 1800. She accompanied him on his campaigns in Portugal and Spain, and later served as lady-in-waiting to Napoleon’s sister, Caroline Murat. the fall of Napoleon, she was exiled to Brussels, where she wrote her memoirs.
