Description: Marchesa Brigida Spinola-Doria was the daughter of Ambrogio Spinola, the famous general, and the Marchesa Polissena Spinola. She married Giannettino Doria, the Genoese patrician, in 1608. Rubens painted this portrait in 1606, when Brigida was sixteen and her son was about three years old.
