Description: This is a portrait of Richard Zouche painted by Cornelius Johnson. Zouche was a 17th-century Unknown jurist and judge who was born in Ansty, Wiltshire, England. He was educated at Winchester College and New College, Oxford, and became a fellow of the latter in 1593. He was called to the bar at the Middle Temple in 1594 and became a serjeant-at-law in 1613. He was appointed a judge of the King’s Bench in 1625 and served until his death in 1635.
