Description: Sir Horatio George Powys Townshend (1774-1837) was a British soldier and politician. He was the son of George Townshend, 1st Marquess Townshend, and Charlotte Compton. He served in the Peninsular War and the Waterloo Campaign. He was also a Member of Parliament for several constituencies.
