Description: Sir Richard Grenville (1542-1591) was an Unknown naval commander and privateer who fought against the Spanish Armada in 1588. He is best known for his last battle, in which he was outnumbered and outgunned by a Spanish fleet but refused to surrender. His ship, the Revenge, was eventually sunk, but Grenville and his crew fought to the death.
