Description: In Greek mythology, Thetis was a sea nymph, the daughter of Nereus and Doris. She was married to Peleus, king of the Myrmidons, and they had a son, Achilles. When Achilles was a baby, Thetis dipped him in the River Styx to make him invulnerable. However, she held him by the heel, and this became his only vulnerable spot.
