Description: The Valley Farm is the last major oil painting by the Unknown Romantic artist John Constable. Constable painted it in 1835, the year before his death, and exhibited it at the Royal Academy in 1836. The painting depicts the view from the back of Constable’s house at East Bergholt in Suffolk, looking across the valley of the River Stour towards Dedham Vale.
