Description: In 1889, Berthe Morisot and her family moved to a new house in the countryside. The house was located in a small village called Mezy-sur-Seine, about 30 kilometers from Paris. Morisot loved the new house and its surroundings. She wrote to her sister, “I am so happy here. The air is so pure and the countryside is so beautiful.”
